Resumo: Neste artigo, num primeiro momento, discuto sobre os principais problemas existentes nas prisões brasileiras em relação ao tratamento desumano e degradante dispensado aos apenados. Num segundo momento, demonstro a realidade das prisões no Brasil com relação ao contingente e os tipos sociais que mais são pegos pela lei penal. Por último, alerto sobre a possibilidade constante de rebeliões nas prisões em todo País.

Abstract: In this article, at a first moment, I argue on the main existing problems in the Brazilian prisons in relation to the inhuman and degraded treatment excused the imposed a fine on ones. At as a moment, I demonstrate to the reality of the prisons in Brazil with regard to the contingent and the social types that more are to catch for the criminal law. Finally, I alert on the constant possibility of rebellions in the prisons in all Country.
